The Kardashian Filter For A Kardashian Free Internet

Kardashian Filter Plug In

Recently I heard myself telling a colleague how I wished I could censor my browser of all references to The Kardashians (and Jenners). The internet is so full of stories about people famous purely for being famous that I considered calling in a priest to exorcise my browser of such entities.  Imagine my delight when I realised that The Kardashian Filter plug in for Chrome exists thanks to Chiral Software. It is available as a free download from the Chrome Web Store.

Initially it was a tongue in cheek remark born out of genuine frustration, on realising that on April 12th nobody that I knew was talking about Yuri Milner’s Breakthrough Starshot project.  Instead of discussing how mankind was embarking on a journey to explore a neighbouring Star System people were talking about the Kardashians latest rumour. A highly uninteresting one at that.

When I checked some news sites, I became angry at how even so called respectable news organisations were pumping out clickbait links to Kim Kardashian being spotted walking down a street wearing some clothes or even full articles as profound as one of the younger Jenner kids has done something weird to their lips.

If like me you found yourself wishing you could revert to a time when the internet was a Kardashian free zone then I recommend that you go to Chrome Web Store and install the free extension, Kardashian Filter.  It’s simple to use, similar to an ad blocker.  Not only will it strip all word references and photos of any Kardashians but it works just as well when you add other terms you no longer wish to see such as Bieber, Jenner and even Trump.  It even notifies you of how many times it has spared you from being exposed to more Kardashian news.

Try it out for yourself. It’s amazing how much cool stuff you realise is happening in the world when you free your browser. The user testimonials are worth a read:

"Around the time of Kimye's wedding, I started getting headaches. It got worse when I saw pictures of them in Versailles. I went to my doctor. He recommended that I install Kardashian Filter. The headaches went away! Thanks chiralsoftware!"

"My sleep apnea is gone and I'm making more money! Thanks, chiralsoftware!"
Jeanette, Billings, Montana

"I installed this filter, just to see what would happen. I felt pretty weird afterwards. I talked to my friend about these feelings I was having, like I'm not interested in tattoos anymore. My friend explained, these feelings I'm having are called self-esteem. Thanks, chiralsoftware!"

"Yes I love technology, but not as much as you you see, but still I love technology, always and forever," - Kip Dynamite.

I do indeed love technology and all things futuristic, not quite enough to sing about it at my wedding, but enough to start a blog.

My own particular area of expertise is with imaging technology a.k.a cameras of all shapes and sizes. Since 2011 I've been getting my kicks (and also paying the bills) from doing my bit within the marketing team at Canon.

As a devoted Life Hacker, I enjoy most, when new tech genuinely makes life easier and removes even the slightest of stress from every day tasks.
